Field trip-Liverpool and Manchester

A design by American urban landscape designer Martha Schwarz. Part of her design was the water feature with stepping stones. It's a recreation of the river which flowed through medieval Manchester, giving the street name "Hanging Ditch".

Field operarions proposes to bring water into the park site and juxtapose a hard urban wharfside uses with soft ecologocal landscapes. Framed by a vibrant hard urban edge, the new harbor park includes a generous watery interior where the soft organic shaped islands of gardens are constructed invoking the quintessential asian image of mountains in water.
