Eadweard Muybridge - Tate Britain

The exhibition presented the full range of Muybridge's works. I remembered that his works were my inspiration of the second year's project. I took the inspiration from his works which were "Horse in Motion". Most famous for his pictures of race horses. He experimented with the possibilities of creating images of animals and humans in motion. Also there are vast panoramas of American landscapes, such as the Yosemite Valley, and his documentation of the rapidly growing west coast of America, particularly in San Francisco has been an important historic record of the times. I surprised that he was not only renowned for taking photos of the American landscape but only the motion photography.

Clive Head: Modern Perspectives

I was thrown into confusion because the paintings were exactly look like pictures. He's paintings are about space. Along with large scale cityscapes including depictions of london landmarks Piccadilly Circus and Trafalgar Square. He uses the camera as a tool when devising his compositions so he displayed his picutres as well. A painting such as "Haymarket" presents a pan of nearly 300 degrees and encompasses views are impossibleto see from one single spot. He rejects its static single point perspective and creates an open and dynamic sense of space.

Anish Kapoor : " Turning the world upside down" in Kensington gardens

The world renowned contemporary sculptor, once again creates a sensational london exhibition this year in the open space of Kensington gardens. London based artist anish kapoor present a major exhibition of large scale outdoor sculptures.

The free exhibiton was feature a series of kapoor's most recent major works

and I didn't know that it was first time to show all together, never before shown together in london.

The sculpture was constructed from highly reflective stainless steel, these mammoth sized and curved mirrored surface was illusory distortions of their surroundings. The sculptures will be positioned to contrast and reflect their garden environment, appearing as pure reflections of everything around

them like changing seasons, colours, sky, weather, water, wildlife with it.

Focus week individual digital program practice - 3D Max

One of the focus week plan is to improve my digital program skills like photoshop, CAD and 3D max.... So I have made my own study schedule during the focus week.

First step is 3D max. I have a little skill of basic so I chose the start step from mapping of object. It is really difficult to create surface of object rather then modelling.

Step 1 : Materials - Focus week I [01-07 Nov]

Step 2 : Cameras - Focus week II [29-05 Dec]

Step 3 : Lights - Focus week III [24-30 Jan/2011]

Step 4 : Auto Cad + 3d Max - Focus week IIII [28-06 Mar]

I am sure to doing the schedule step by step until final point. The steps would go forward during

the focus week.
